Flashed 6 bios, Power off, sleep and wake working quickly and animations no longer choppy after 3 reboots. Here is hoping! ;-)

Blast!!! Rebooted following the Time Machine backup and the animations are all choppy again! Get a weird glitch in Safari when selecting from the top sites thumbnails. Also very choppy accessing launchpad Any ideas?

OK dont know what I've done but my system finally seems to be working again... launch pad animations are nice and smooth, boot up, restart and shutdown seem to behave too. I tried verify repair disk... no change Tried another fresh install of mavericks using optimised defaults and RAM memory...
