I have new VTX HD6670 2gb and works: kBulrushes Mangabey but all can't recognize 6670. Still shows only 6xxx. :-( Its under MacOSX 10.7.3.

I have EVGA GeForce 9500 GT 1 GB too. And no problem with instal (10.7). Only one problem is play WoW on it. There are bad textures - like sharp splashes. The same WoW works great on my macbook. Dunno how it fix it. Sorry for OT. :-)
