As of today, I'm running el capitan on skylake and everything is working (SATA/USB3/wifi/GPU/etc)
Can confirm this, after flashing to an earlier bios version via USB bios flashback, everything seems to be working.
Including my AMD HD7950 gpu.

Is this the FL1009 you're talking about? because that requires injecting device ids now. I'm sure you've tested it in another non-skylake system on el capitan? That's super weird.
Just thought I'd mention.
If we're hypothesizing, my best guess is it has something to do with the PCI bus/pci power management. That would explain the widespread issues since everything goes through pcie
Some testing has been done with ASUS Z170-Deluxe you say?
Was anyone able to get the built in wifi (broadcom BCM94360HMB) working? It doesn't seem to want to work for me despite being a natively supported chipset. Driver loads but no networks are found.
With screen sharing, I've been able to use it for an extended period without crashing (i211)
All you need to do is set the update time/quality to absolute minimum in chichenofthevnc.
Also, if anyone has a built-in broadcom BCM94360HMB like myself, it doesn't seem to be working OOB like it...
Thanks, that clears things up.
Maybe someone with access to said shiny new boxes can extract the magic and figure out how it works, king's will be damned!
Can someone explain to me like im five, how 10.11.1 can be missing skylake drivers, while the new imacs work with it?
I've checked the kexts, the device ids are identical to my own (8086,a102) and certainly do exist.
Ok, sorry for the confusion D:
Anyway, anyone have any insight into why the app store is no longer making a "Install OS X El Capitan Public Beta.app"? I've searched through and (surprisingly) haven't found anyone with a similar issue.
It seems my posts were moved to the developer beta section (which I don't have permission to view)? My question is about the public beta, I don't have a developer account. I linked the developer page because it has more specific info about beta 4
Beta 4 via app store...
