    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

All your kext files are dated may 9th, so they're too old to run Sonoma (first beta release in june). Quickest way to update would probably be HackinDROM, although I prefer to do it manually - ie download and replace

Broadcom wifi does work for me on Ventura 13.6.1 22G313 with no OCLP or extra kexts. However the i219 Ethernet port started having problems with the native apple driver: 10MBit connection only, breaks after sleep - so I went back to IntelMausi which has the advantage of using less CPU when...

re: iGPU - I recently found out that in order to activate metal 3 support on a headless UHD630 you need to add the key "enable-metal" with the value of 01000000 to the device properties of the igpu. When a fb with video output is selected, such as the 07009B3E then metal 3 is supported even...

I totally forgot it was a custom AppleALC.kext from Casey back in January..only this custom one worked with layout id 40 - he did write in May when someone else asked that it had been integrated to the regular release, but obviously that did not happen for some reason - anyway no big deal, I'm...

Status report: So with all the latest kexts Sonoma beta is working with Intel WiFi and Bluetooth same as on Monterey and Ventura versions. I have been using alcid=40 on Monterey but it doesn't work on Sonoma (using AppleALC 1.8.5) anymore. Any ideas? Ids 11 and 16 work normally.

Can confirm: (Intel)WiFi and lower Ethernet work with your opencore.efi + quirk on 13.3 and 13.4b with VT-d enabled, 32GB RAM. Thank you - fantastic work, Casey! What are the chances of this patch breaking again in future versions?

no success so far: I tried with a new install of Ventura 13.3 with a macpro7,1 SMBIOS = still no Wifi, no lower ethernet port. Booted with OC 090 that Casey provided = lower ethernet port does not work, wifi I could not check quickly (I use intel wifi) but I doubt it would work. I do have my RAM...

I use IntelWifi, and it stopped working for me as well (on Designare Z390)

Just go to this post, OC 083 is new enough to work with Ventura. I haven't switched my main install yet, I find Ventura uses noticeably more CPU resources (clean install), have others found the same?

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I have found no issue with the EFI folder update process on hackinDROM. On both Monterey and Ventura I could empty the trash and get the auto-update process done; same as ever - EFI partition has to be mounted of course. Caseys's (Intel WIFI) EFI folder was actually bigger in the past, we have...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Running iStat menus, I saw quite noticeable CPU-load from the AppleEthernetE1000 driver when maxing out my 400Mbit fiber Internet ever since we discovered it works natively. So I mainly use the other gigabit Ethernet again. Did others notice the same? edit- added screenshot and double-checked...

Ventura 13.0 : Success :) For me everything works for now after installing the new public beta 22A5295i I just downloaded and replaced: latest Lilu 1.62, BlueToolFixup, add AirportItlwm-Ventura.kext and OC 0.83. -lilubetaall was necessary for onboard sound to work, despite latest AppleALC.kext

hackerno1, have you tried booting into the recovery partition and use the repair function from disk utility? Sounds like apfs problem to me

I tried to boot with your latest 078 EFI (updated to 080 with 2.60.0.1 OCC) but it would fail early in the process.. My modified EFI uses the AppleI2xx.kext as described here - it breaks after sleep but can be reactivated by changing the MTU value. I only use the 211 port about once per week so...

I just tried it- the behaviour changes slightly, ie now I see 20 instances of my BT-trackpad after sleep..so no improvement. It's not really a problem, I do own a Fenvi 919 card but Intel bluetooth gave me better range than the Fenvi (both with wifi either off or 5ghz only)
