    Lenovo y700 - Sierra

Well, mine started working again. I found that random issue(s) happen when I boot Windows and later boot macOS, for example the issue with missing Audio. I always rebuild kext caches then and reboot. Maybe the rebuilding also fixes the shutdown issue. Anyway, I have bought a real MBP and...

The shutdown issue that we've been trying to tackle few months back then. The laptop would not shutdown, but recently it got fixed by itself. I could shutdown without any problems for a month or so, yet few days ago it broke again without me touching anything (only app updates through...

Just as it started working by itself it stopped now. I did not install/uninstall any application. @RehabMan Have you ever encountered such an issue?

To be honest, I did not do anything and it just started working. Sure, I will attach my clover.

Hi, I kinda did not have time for my macOS lately. Just checked today that the 10.12.6 update seems to have fixed my shutdown issue.

Issues Installing MacOS Sierra on Lenovo Ideapad Y700

Hi, you may find this thread helpful: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/lenovo-y700-sierra.218408/ I've been going through all of this also.

Wait. I'm using DropOem=false. I only have DSDT.aml, SSDT-HACK.aml, SSDT.aml in my ACPI/patched. That means that for each test I should delete ACPI/origin/*, boot with F4 and copy DSDT.aml from ACPI/origin, manually patch it (e.g. battery, brightness keys / or don't even patch it for tests)...

Oh I see... Seems like I'll have what to do tomorrow. Did not know that's needed.

Of course, the results of all my tests were the same - Not OK. Precisely, they all ended up the same Apple -> Shut Down... -> CPU Halted -> Black Screen -> No Power Off.

This might be obvious, but should I remove Broadcom related patches and kexts when doing it?

    Lenovo y700 - Sierra

Yes. Restart works very well. Anyway, I have disable AirPortBrcm patches and CPU Halted is now the last text to appear, but then the screen goes black and it does not power off. Said patches: <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>10.12-BCM94352-fvco-darkvoid</string>...

Can it be related to PM? Missing LPC? Aha! I thought that patch is for when sleep doesn't work at all. Mine was working fine, but just the first one. I could wake with my USB devices. After the patch is applied I do not get instant wake for the second and next sleeps, but I can't wake with USB...

    Lenovo y700 - Sierra

Well, it could, if I would get any verbose output. I got nothing. The disable/enable on wake/sleep did not change anything. Also, there seems to be a problem with the sleep (patch unrelated). The first sleep goes well, but every next sleep instantly wakes. My files are the same as in post #97...

Do you have any other ideas why the shut down would not work? If that's something insanely hard to track, I can live without it... Other than that, I will be moving from SSDT.aml -> SSDT-PluginType1.aml for PM and my files could probably be used for Y700 repo? Can I install back VirtualBox?
