Sorry for being late here.
I’ve tried to boot my EFI folder with a BigSur installation and no luck. I can not get my original EFI folder that I used to install BigSur. The one linked has been heavily tweaked to work with a running BigSur setup.
I’ll try to get some time to rebuild a clean EFI...
Hi guys,
For the sake of this very thread name, here are my achievements for this very laptop "UX333FA" :
- opencore 6.8 > done
- MacOS Big Sur > installed
- Trackpad > done > get to find to make it work in polling mode > laggy on CPU high usage
- screen backlight > done
- keyboard backlight >...
Hello MrMoe, can you share your EFI folder?
Like pizzleberry, I’ve managed to get Big Sur installed but I’m facing issues with keyboard touch mapping and backlight. It will be much appreciated if you share. Thks.
Hi all!
I don't know if this thread is still alive but anyway...
I've managed to install Catalina on my UX333FA with some parts from FlasHRender but so far, no wifi nor BT, no keyboard backlight and no sound.
@gorila
Hide your SN in your config.plist ;)
Use only one OsxAptio*drv.efi
And you can bypass apfs.efi by using ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi and PartitionDxe-64.efi
With the latest version of Clover, you can avoid the use of the folder drivers64.
Works for me too!
Mojave Beta 10.14 (18A353d) with my previous EFI posted here except for the kexts that have been upgraded to their latest versions.
Don't forget to put these boot args : -lilubetaall -igfxbeta
If someone wants my conf files, I'll post it.
@gorila : can you post your EFI folder...
I've given up with AppleALC with with the latest 10.3.2...
Sound started to humming, iTunes crashed on every launch.
So I've restarted from scratch with Sebinouse config with some modifications:
- installed Clover 4359
- copied apfs.efi in EFI/EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI
- deleted everything...
How did you manage to change the layout-id? I've tried with MacIASL but it doesn't save my modifications.
More, can you detail how you manage to get a working lilu+applealc?
Thanks.
I've tried the lilu+applealc which should be the best way but I've never managed to make it work.
The voodoo path is the simplest but sometimes sound is humming or weird.
The Toleda path is the best for me but you have to re-patch when a new MacOS appears. Just remember to delete SSDT-HDEF.aml...
You can follow the Sierra's steps from Sebinouse. Just delete SSDT-HDEF.aml, put apfs.efi in clover drivers and run udio_cloverALC-130.sh.
I don't use HDMI or DisplayPort sound so I've not tried to check if it's working or not.
