so this is odd. i fixed it. at some point my driver64UEFI files got reset. even my audio got reset. back up and running ok now. although my system has hung/froze at the apple logo screen twice today. has never happened before.

the clover boot screen doesnt fill up my entire monitor regardless of the resolution i set

i experience the surrounding black box the entire time through the boot process until apple logo screen. must be default nothing i can do unless i change the VBIOS.

indeed i did. now i cant get my resolution to change on boot.

side note, i am curious as to why when i set my boot res to 1920x1080 and use a new theme that it never hits that resolution. always black box around boot background and resolution is much lower.

if you look at the clover theme tab, once you select a theme, you can press a button that says "Apply NVRAM", which i clicked. anyway, fixed it myself. i have no idea how this happened but at some point the contents of the drivers64UEFI folder changed. the efi files inside were different...

ha yes thats how ive been doing it. once the system wouldnt boot, i loaded my configbackup file which reverted. still no dice. another thing i noticed about clover. i selected 12,2 imac but when i launch a finder window the top says "Your Mac Pro" with an imac icon lol. about this mac is correct.

added -v bootflag. had to add -v manually at the boot screen for some reason. i got two page missing errors and kernel panic, error loading kernel cache (0x9). how the hell do i get a kernel panic from changing the theme

Have been using clover with great results. Decided I wanted a new Clover boot theme. Changed the theme by saving it to the NVRAM and exported the config file. When I booted, the new theme showed up as expected, it auto booted from the correct disk, but it went to a black screen for about 10-15...

im really happy with my clover install. everything works great, its like really having a mac pro again. now i just have to overclock again. probably from 3.4 to 3.8 or 4

i followed your instructions. i added -v -x and its saying "error loading kernel cache (0xe)" really not sure how to proceed. edit- solved by adding a new kext. also solved sound question from above. having intermittent wifi issues though. this thread is helpful but not solving it for me...
