This may not be your exact issue, but the unix mount points for volumes can go crazy if a process tries to open from a missing one and as a side effect creates a COPY of a folder in "/Volumes". T
Its a common bug going back over 12 years. LET'S CHECK YOUR "/Volumes" :

Using HDMI port, not trying display port, my MSI onboard UHD630 works amazingly perfectly in OS X 10.13.2, Apple Metal acceleration, etc. I did have to use a workaround for an EFI file. It was a quick simple UniBeast/MultiBeast install otherwise.
