I removed the old Brightness fix, and tried the ACPI 100 version, first I change to spoofing 2012, but after applying the patch I get lots of build errors for methods not found. However the patch says it should be applied into the same place as the IGPU, which is definitely DSDT in my case...
Thank you for the hint, Fake ALS has stopped the auto adjustment, but still no brightness control.
I deleted SSDT-1, I put it there as I renamed the GPU to IGPU, and it was also present in SSDT-1, I thought having it defined different ways in DSDT and SSDT might have caused problems.
I followed this guide, but the backlight panel still doesn't work, and in fact the slider moves by itself when you have the panel open.
I attach here the output of the gen script, my EFI minus themes, and a copy of my dsdt patched to remove auto backlight files (which is apparently not working...

Thanks Rehabman, I know where to go for DSDT edits once I can get it to to dissassemble, any idea on the errors I get what using iaml to dissassemble the files?
I have a lenovo X210. It boots perfectly, sleep and wake, wifi etc all work well. However no battery management or brightness control.
I dumped the acpi with clover by pressing F4. I then copied out all of the files starting SSDT and the DSDT. I was left with:
naths-MacBook-Pro-2:Origiin ACPI...
That was it, rebuilt clover with emuvariable and optiov1 selected, used the above clover config and it booted and installed, much quicker than before. Thanks Rehabman.
I wiped the drive in disk utility and formatted as GPT Journaled before the install, this is the only OS on the drive. is there any other causes for this error?
