Yes, I had to find out the hard way. But, good news, I’ve gotten in to work with a long prayer and IO80211HighSierra.kext from this repo. The good side of it is that it also injects from the bootloader, so you can now use the AR5B93/AR9283 WiFi in recovery as well.
