Anyone have any luck getting audio to work with the 5k panel? Sometimes if I'm lucky and boot up it will work.
If I go to sleep though, or randomly when the screen goes black and I have to re-plug it, I lose in speaker audio and webcam.
I have a gigabyte Z390 Pro (non-wifi) with the titan ridge card. I have everything working in windows with my ultrafine 5k (video, audio, webcam, usb-c hub) however in MacOS nothing works except video.
The only way I can make thunderbolt work in MacOS is if I warm boot into it after booting...
Not sure if this is weird, but if I warm boot MacOS after first going to Windows, then System Report shows an extra device: "pci1b73,1100". I'm guessing this is really my thunderbolt card, and for some reason the SSDT/aml files didn't match up with it?
I got it working in windows, I had to install the gigabyte driver. It’s not working in MacOS yet though:

can you see what I might be doing wrong?
hey @CaseySJ I was wondering if you might be able to take a look at my setup and tell me what I'm doing wrong. I have a gigabyte Z390 Pro (non-wifi) with the titan ridge card. I have everything working in windows with my ultrafine 5k (video, audio, webcam, usb-c hub) however in MacOS nothing...
thanks, I'll follow this!
Unfortunately I realized that that my ultrafine has the same problem in Windows. Audio and the usb-c ports don't work in Windows either!
Hmm.. the only SSDT I was able to find was for a x299 and one for alpine ridge. Do you mind sharing where instructions are that could point me in the right direction for getting support for my z390+titan?
I got my ultrafine 5G working by buying this:

but unfortunately the usb-c ports on the monitor, as well as the speakers, do not work. Only the video seems to work.
In System Report if I go to PCI or Thunderbolt it says this computer...
hey @MESwan any chance you could post your most up to date EFI folder?
I have tried to follow your first post to the letter (with and without the OC). Unfortunately though my machine (i9 + saphire 64) keeps suffering from:
1. random reboots
2. random screen going fully white and me having to...
my system is becoming more and more unstable :( now at least 3 times a day I get:
1. a random reboot
2. both my screen just turn white
3. both my screens turn off and all my fans go to 100% until I restart the machine
does ANYONE know how I can debug this? I really need help.
Does anyone know how I might go about diagnosing why my machine sometimes randomly reboots?
No kernel panic logs or prompts that I'm aware of. Sometimes I'm just using it and all of a sudden I'll see the Gigabyte boot logo, and my machine will restart.
Gah! I accidentally hit "yes" on an update prompt to 10.14.4 and booting broke. Weird thing is 10.14.4 never installed, but I can't boot with the config anymore (and EVERYTHING worked including usb and sleep).
I got myself up and running again with a new EFI folder, but sleep isn't working. The...
@MESwan I have your same hardware and an identical overclock which has worked fine for the past 2 months, but over the past few days I've been getting lots of random restarts. Have you encountered this problem yet?
