GTX 780 crashes Premiere Pro CC

Yeah no problem. It's just my opinion though so take it with a grain of salt (or however that saying goes). I agree, that aesthetics are very important; one of the reason I went with the Gigabyte. The "race car" look of the Asus didn't go in my case. I also agree that the Asus has really great...

GTX 780 crashes Premiere Pro CC

Well, here's my take on the situation. If you read back through this thread you will come to the conclusion that there is no guarantee there will ever be support for the GTX780. I in fact, had that very card in my possession and even tried to install it in my machine. It failed (well actually it...

EXTREMELY slow shutdown times with Mavericks

I have noticed this as well. It hangs on the grey screen for quite a while; much longer than ML. My boot drive is an SSD while I have about 3 other drives for files etc. Everything still runs fine, so I haven't really looked into it but I would be curious to find out what's up.

GTX 780 crashes Premiere Pro CC

Thanks. Yeah, I have come across that. There are so many threads about the topic out there and the info so scattered that it is difficult to really get a thorough understanding. I've read that all GTX 780 are moving over to Rev.B, though that may be incorrect. I love Apple and OSX but sometimes...

GTX 780 crashes Premiere Pro CC

So I did a little sleuthing and contact Asus with a serial number, with hopes they could advise me on which Revision the card was. I was hoping I could tell everyone here, that yes they can find that information for you based on the serial, but I can't. However, I was able to discover that the...

GTX 780 crashes Premiere Pro CC

I'm sitting on an unopened Asus GTX 780 DCII OC and after reading this very informative thread and a number of others, I am debating on filing and RMA with newegg and going with a 770 (I made the purchase before the December Buying Guide). I'm assuming the card I have is Rev.B considering I...

    OS X 10.9.1 Update

Wow, what timing. After reading page after page of GTX 780 Rev.B compatibility issues, I've very curious to see if this update fixes the problem. If anyone has that card, please let us know if there is any improvements.

ML: Optimized Realtek AppleHDA - Preview/Alpha

Thanks very much for this Toleda. The guide worked like a charm on my GA-Z68XP-UD3-F10. I edited my DSDT, cleared out all the audio kexts and ran KextBeast with the relevant download. Big up to you. Many thanks.

I can confirm that out of the box, the IOGear is indeed plug and play. The magic mouse will wake the machine from sleep however, performance of the mouse is sometimes lacking. It stutters and slows randomly.

To Trim or Not to Trim?

Thanks a lot for the feedback. It's new to me and the wealth of info available on the web is a little daunting. With trim setup by Multibeast, I'm going to let it roll out for a while and see how it performs over time.

***SOLVED*** Need Extra FAN for push pull setup?

Re: Need Extra FAN for push pull setup? Well, I currently have four fans running; the cpu fan, one rear case fan connected directly to the mobo and two up front connected to the psu. With the computer sleeping, the fans continue to run. The fan on the mobo is running as well. It may turn off in...

To Trim or Not to Trim?

That is the question. I'm new to SSDs. Currently, within "CompuTHOR", I have a Crucial M4 SSD. To my understanding, this drive features garbage collection; as do most/all SSDs in the past couple of years. I am hearing and reading mixed messages on whether or not TRIM is actually needed on...

***SOLVED*** Need Extra FAN for push pull setup?

Re: Need Extra FAN for push pull setup? You could connect them straight to your power supply. Buy a fan speed controller if you feel the need to be able to control your fan speed.
