It most definitely is not a solution, I've actually enabled the warning messages again. Will continue looking for a solution.

BIOS update did not fix this for me. My latest BIOS (0208) also does not have the option to turn Legacy RTC on. Disabling "Wait with F1 on Error" in BIOS at least bypasses the problem for me, and allows me to boot without being forced to my BIOS screen.

Same here, update itself went flawless but starting at the first reboot during the update I also get the "The system has POSTed in safe mode" message. Going in the bios by pressing F1 (only option) and immediately out of the bios allows me to boot. Updated to Clover 4895 and the latest kexts...

No, i did not see explicit combo's that do work. but it is confusing to me what the effect of 10.10.3(+) is on some combinations. Though some people write about problems with nvidia cards (gtx 760) and other say it worked oob with a r9 280 (while as i understand radeon cards should be a problem...
