No, a while back you had recommended not to use them because of something unrelated, will try it then. I'll test the 3.1 gen2 port for a while, (the audio stuttering only happens occasionally) if it doesn't help I'll try changing the uia_exclude as you suggested, thanks so much for helping out...

Hey @pastrychef can you help me out? I can't get rid of my external USB2 audio interface stuttering issue. The most common solution I found online is to use a bios function that bumps the voltage on USB3 a tiny bit but the Asus Z370-G Strix doesn't have such an option. I think my only viable...

Thanks, for some reason a have a ton of apps crashing if SIP is enabled. Have you ever seen anyone reporting Audio Stutter/Glitch issues with external class-compliant Audio USB Interfaces? It's occasional but happens with both my audio interfaces, it started in Mojave but I thought I messed...

The Chrome thing has been fixed right? Is it safe to disable SIP now? Also whats the difference between disabling SIP thru Clover and just doing sudo spctl --master-disable on the terminal?

BTW... Scratch that, I just updated FCP to 10.4.7 because it "has better support for Vega II, Metal, bla, bla" and my results are only 12 seconds on the first benchmark pass, after that, it gets increasingly slower, by the third pass it's more than 24 seconds. I give up troubleshooting FCP...

    Graphics Test: Bruce X

Final Cut now has better performance again with my Vega 64 (Sapphire NITRO+) in Catalina, it's super annoying that results keep changing back and forth between updates, it's making me consider switching to DaVinci Resolve. Catalina 10.15 = 12 Seconds. Mojave 10.14.6 = 23 seconds.

All good with the update. I plugged a new NVMe SSD into the extra slot on the Z370-G and performed a clean install directly from AppStore so I can have both Mojave and Catalina while testing for a couple of weeks. Interesting facts: - Final Cut now has better performance again with my Vega 64...

[GUIDE] Injection of AMD Vega Power and Fan Control Properties

Hey guys! Dumb question: Is it safe to set all the P values for Core and Memory clock to the Max default? So the GPU is constantly clocked up? The reason I am asking is because in Final Cut Pro the Memory/Core clocks arent ramping up during rendering, (this changes between updates, giving me...

Is it normal to have more than 10C degree difference in temperature reading from the ioreg command and istats/hwmonitor?

Hello Pastrychef. I'm thinking of upgrading my 960 Evo to a 970 Evo since it's the price is a lot more attractive. The following quote only applies to the "Plus" version of the SSD right?

Sorry for the late reply, I missed your message. Mainly on r/hackintosh/ but on insanelymac too, the criticism often comes from a small but loud niche. As I understand it it's related to things being included in some apps/tools without propper credits in the past, lack of public source code...

TBH, I am not 100% sure what vanilla technically means but I see a lot of hate elsewhere towards non-vanilla methods, especially some tools available here on tony, everything works so I dont really care, was just curious. 2!? Ok, the same was happening here, no display, and it was stopping the...

A couple of questions: So using OpenCore as our main bootloader = a vanilla Hackintosh install? Unrelated: Have you ever seen anyone reporting a dead Vega GPU? Mine stopped working, the White VGA LED on the z370-G lights up, turning the system fully off would sometimes fix it until not even...

Adding the USR's will disable the Red USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports in the back right? It's only a disadvantage for those who own 3.1Gen2 external SSD's? I dont have any, for now, so I'll do that, thanks very much! FYI since OSX 10.14.5 and FCP 10.4.6 my Bruce X result with a single Vega64 is 6seconds...
