you got me wrong - the missing volumes in the boot menu was already fixed with the USB boot, no issue there anymore. What I wanted to understand with my last post was why all volumes were hidden with the settings I made posted in the screenshots... (2 entries hidden, 3 entries in bootloader...

USB worked... However what is interesting is that F3 would not unhide the hidden volumes and that also hiding two volumes hided all three. Is there maybe something wrong with my configuration? Here are screenshots of my set up: Clover Boot menu: the 2nd option is "Boot Mac OS from Yosemite"...
