I also try to get 10GbE working in my Hack. I already have installed a 10GbE PCI card from SmallTree and successfully loaded the right kext. Unfortunately I can only choose Gigabit speed in the Hardware settings in Network Preferences. As soon as I choose 10GbaseT, the NIC drops and I don't even...
Hey everyone,
I am really struggling getting Gigabit network speeds with my GA-170X-Designare build (Intel i219V2). I can get one ethernet port to work, but it is not faster than around 45MB/s where it should deliver speeds of full gigabit to our NAS (tested on another machine with the same...
I already tried a SmallTree 10GbE card which gives on a 5,1MacPro about 800MB/s on this connection. Installed all the SmallTree drivers - same thing only 50MB/s :-(
Same problem here: only one network port is working AND much more important: I only get 50MB/s on the working port where I should get 120MB/s (tested on another machine with the same connection)
Hm, we run several Gigabit and 10GbE clients to this server (its rather beefy with around 200TB storage) - so network speed shouldn't be a problem. Also I just tried the same network cable I plugged in the Hack on my MBP (with an tb-ethernet adapter) and I get 120MB/s speed :-/
Hey vulgo, thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately it won't even let me enter single user mode. I managed to install Sierra on another drive, and with the new clover I can set boot args. But when I try to boot the old drive in single user, the apple logo and progress bar appears, but after a short...
Ok so in order to get rid of the 99 BIOS entries, I flashed the BIOS to the newest version. Now I can choose in BIOS which partition to boot from. When I choose to boot from the Unibeasted thumb drive, I see a different Clover. Unfortunately from there nothing seems to work - as soon as I try to...
That is my Woe #3 (above): Can't enter boot menu and when trying to re-install osx via the clover boot manager, I get just a white screen after the apple progress bar finishes :-(
Didn't get that to work: I tried to enter save mode in Clover (see Woe #2 above) and right now by holding shift when Apple Logo appears - nothing worked.
Thanks for your reply - I immediately updated my specs.
Unfortunately I have no idea how to find and access my Clover folder without being able to boot into the machine. What can I do?
