Hi, I have a successful build ASUS Maximus Extreme VIII running el capitan. I would like to be able to connect this system to a Pegasus Thunderbolt array I already have. Does anyone know if this adaptor or any other solution will work ?

mmm, ok might make sense to wait for Skylake processors and a new motherboard with Thunderbolt 3 / USB C on board. Looks to me like in three months they might be available.
I work in video editing and post production, have several genuine macs and interested in building a Hackintosh in a months time or so. Previously had a 6 Core ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 Hackintosh which I sold when I moved countries so I am familiar with the process.
Want to use the system as a backup...

I was hoping the drivers for it might have been included with Yosemite. Unfortunately not, system profile shows that the device is...
Just wanted to bump this. Got my current hackintosh working with 10.7 and a GTX 580 now. I know there are people with Thunderbolt builds out there, please report any successes. I'll likely try a build with a Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 and give it a go with my current Thunderbolt devices anyway sooner...

Hi, I have a successful install of a Asus P6T Deluxe V2 with an Intel Core i7 980 3.33Ghz. However under mac os x the OS is not using all the cores correctly. I've verified this by doing render benchmarks under Windows 7 64 bit and OS X. Terragen software on startup reports 12 cores under...
ok, I went ahead an installed the 980. It just worked! booted in both windows 7 and os x 10.6.8 with nothing changed.
However os x doesn't seem to be using all the cores. system profiler says "6 cores", correctly, but cpu monitor only shows 8 bars, when it should show 12. Have ran a quick...
