I've done some testing and I can successfully boot into OSX from my USB installer without fail. Using the EXACT same config file and Clover version, I cannot boot from my installed drive into OSX... it goes to the bootloader and hangs after loading about halfway. I've tried entering verbose...

First off, it's in my signature. Secondly I'm not adding it to my profile because it's not my main device. Third this thread is still on one page so even IF you had to look up at the first post instead of my signature, it takes a couple of seconds.

Unfortunately it's doing it again. I'm no longer unable to boot back into OSX, screen is blank. Tried booting with nv_disable=1 and can't even boot this way. I'm going to start fresh. Can anyone reccomend which SMBIOS I should pick based on hardware?

Decided to give my MSI Gaming 5 another go before sending it back I downloaded the original bios update file from MSI, flashed it. Put in my OSX Yosimite Installer USB with Clover, booted right up, installed without a problem. Has support for everything except HDMI Audio. Had to set my SMBIOS...

Thank you for the help here... I'm currently at work but I'll give this a go later on tonight. I haven't seen anything about kext-dev-mode=1 in my config.plist I'll have to take a closer look.

If you find any info, post in this thread please. I'm looking for a simple to use mobo as well. This one has been such a mess.

I've spoken with OP. Op has the gaming 7 - which has been shown to work. The title is misleading on that thread (as I pm'd op) I've already flashed the BIOS and unlocked the MSR. Clover still doesn't boot.

Used the buyers guide. After purchasing the board and trying to install - nobody has been successful with this board. Any personal reccomendations? 9 series pref.
