Hey Steveastian,
Thanks for the notice. I'll read up on this.
I couldn't get it to work on Yosemite either, when following your success thread. No idea why.
Hey mate, unfortunately not. Not sure where I'm going wrong. Kinda thinking its not worth the time to figure out, disappointing really.
Maybe if you could break down step by step what your procedure was, I may give it another shot, however it so time consuming that unfortunately I just need to...
Thanks mate, I'll give it a go and report back. Won't swapping out the EFI folder you provided, change the boot flags (as they are already set in the config.plist)?
I just replaced my EFI folder with the one you provided, so the boot flags would be the same that you used right?
I'm going to do a re-install on usb and see if that makes a difference.
BallsMcNadFrop did you use the UEFI or Legacy option in Unibeast.
Used 6.2.0, don't think there is a newer version. Also, my BIOS is the latest 3.30, do you think that could be an issue?
BallsMcNadFrop, I really appreciate your help mate. Its unfortunate that I can't get things to work. Strange that we have the same motherboard yet can't even get it into the OS X installer.
Maybe its that I have 5930k and just doesn't want to work. Did you try UEFI in Unibeast or Legacy?
Ok so changed the SMBIO to 5,1 and took a screen shot of the errors before the screen cut off. Also removed:
NvmExpressDxe-64
OsxAptioFixDrv-64
VBoxHfs-64
Back to Unibeast, I select UEFI Mode (not legacy) with nvidia inject.. Should I change to 'Legacy Mode' and not inject nvidia?
Fresh install?
This is the message that happened just before the screen lost signal. Ill try it with the difference and report back to you guys.
I really appreciate both of your responses guys, this is brand new territory for me so whatever you guys recommend. I will give it a go.
BallsMcNadFrop - so I replaced my EFI with your (USB-EFI). The screen went into verbose mode, printed a whole lot of text then the display lost signal.
Tried again with GraphicsEnabler=Yes, then it just resets back to the 'Reboot and select proper Boot device' screen.
If you could guide me...
Thats ok, I appreciate any help possible. Regarding BIOS update, currently its updated to 3.30 (the latest)
Not using an m2 ssd. The OS X El Capitan version shows (when CMD I = Version 1.7.44) not sure what version that is relating to 10.11. Not sure how to check another way.
I replaced OsxAptioFix2 with OsxAptioFix with the config.list you provided = did not work
Also, added Test2.efi into the (drivers64UEFI)
Screen Image Attached.
Sorry to keep you up, come back to me when you can. Any help is appreciated
BallsMcNadFrop & kduvernay
So I just updated the config.list (Attached) and the same message regarding Bluetooth Controller missing with same screen freeze. (pic attached)
Am I missing something significant during the installation process / drivers / kexts etc?
