What's about the original Aiport card? I'm from germany and I paid 27€ (~35$) for a used card + 17€ (~22$) for an adapter. That are 44€ (57$) and it's working perfectly.

I don't want to set up an ethernet connection. I just want the chipset to be recognized by the system. Otherwise I'm not able to login to the AppStore. And I don't need a cable to install the drivers. Also the chipset has been recognized under SL and Lion before without having a cable plugged in...

I have no cable :P And as said under Windows it's recognized, so I think it must be a OS X problem. But I will check this tommorrow, now I can not access this PC.

I am talking about the MoBo port. I thought it was shown under PCI Ethernet in Lion. If I want to add a new connection in the preferences, there is no Ethernet entry. Also in the NetworkInterfaces.plist is no Ethernet entry. My boot.plist contains these lines.

Which entries do you mean? I tried to delete all connections from the Network Preferences and the NetworkInterfaxes.plist. After that I rebooted but the Ethernet card is still not detected by the System Profiler.
