UniBeast 2.0.1 won't install to USB stick

I followed the instructions in the Mountain Lion Installation Guide, formatting the USB stick as a single partition Master Boot Record in Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) format. When I try to install UniBeast on the stick, it errors out saying the installation failed. Here are the relevant lines...

    cheap good simple graphics card

CUDA uses the cores on the GPU for doing computation. It can result in massive speed-up for tasks that can be chunked down into many smaller tasks running in parallel. Some of the Adobe software suites take advantage of this, for example.

Build help - will this work?

If the drive you're buying is labelled "OEM Version" or "Bare Drive" then no. Otherwise yes. The CPU you buy will come with a cooler. If you aren't planning on overclocking it will be fine. Otherwise you can look into one of the many aftermarket CPU coolers available.

    New to hackintosh!

What Stork and jester969 said. I already spend too much time providing tech support to my parents on Apple Macs. I can't imagine dealing with the increased level of support required for Hackintosh. :wtf:

Graphics card necessary? + choosing the right case!

Honestly, for that usage model, I'd get a CPU with integrated HD 4000 and go with that.

    Graphics card

That's the Fermi version of the GT 630—basically a rebadge of the GT 440—so it should be fine. The confusion comes because there's also an OEM GT 630 that's Kepler (GK107) based.

Can you take a look at my first photo/music editing build?

Both those processors are unlocked for overclocking. That's what the 'K' on the end means.

    CPU Advice for GA-Z77X-UD5H

FYI, if you have a Micro Center nearby, they currently have the i5-3570k for considerably less than Newegg for in-store pickup. http://www.microcenter.com/single_produ ... id=0388577

    Is this a good build?

Yes. There should have been thermal paste of some kind included in the CPU cooler that came with the processor.
