Yeah :) It's external drive I have for years now, it has USB3 cable, I connect it to blue USB3 port, it works as USB3 with other computer and it has worked with USB3 speeds on Mavericks.
I think I've found PBI CE bug. I used Quiet Fan Option when patching my DSDT with PBI CE (as I always did) and the fan was behaving not as it used to. Checked DSDT and it turned out there was no FTAB thingy at all in there, repatched it with patch provided by RehabMan and now it's working ok.
Hm, as I said, it's working but as if it was USB2 device, USB2 speed (tested with Blackmagic Disk Speed Test) and in System Report it's listed under HighSpeed not SuperSpeed. GenericUSBXHCI kext is used but no USB3 perks.
Does it say it's working as USB3 on the screenshot? (honest question...
Ugh, for me USB3 is not working as well.
With Mavericks I had GenericUSBXHCI loaded by Clover and it was working properly when my USB3 External Drive was plugged during startup, otherwise it the port was working only with USB2 devices.
After updating to Yosemite it didn't work at all so I...
Regarding my problem with restart few seconds after wake. This is what I've done, maybe it will help someone:
Repatched DSDT -> nothing
Numerous EC Resets -> nothing
Finally I restored BIOS to defaults, put appropriate settings again and reseted EC once again. Now sleep/wakes ok, hopefully...
I updated quite fresh Mavericks install and I have sleep/wake problem. Every time I wake my Probook 4330s I see login screen then it restart and upon OS X loading I see info that "problem occured, press any key to start loading system". Any ideas? I rerun PBI Clover and repaired permissions...
Hi,
After update to 10.9.2 USB3 stopped working. I have OEM Renesas USB3 chip and I use Zenith432's GenericUSBXHCI driver. Has anyone encountered this problem? I've already tried permissions fixing, cache rebuilding etc.
I don't know if it's relevant but I use standard HPI configuration...
Yes, there is an audible noise - 4330s.
And BTW. my touchpad once broke just because some electrostatic disruption occured while plugging in headphones. Those to should be probably insulated, by they're not.
It took me some time but today I have finally replaced the heatsink for the one I ordered from german HP site. Visually it seems identical to the one except the pipe color is slightly different and it seems to be the used one, probably some kind of refurbishment (easily noticable scratches)...
