These are the minimum required specs:
Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater.
NVIDIA GTX 970 or AMD R9 290 or greater.
8GB RAM or more.
HDMI 1.3 and 3x USB 3.0 plus 1x USB 2.0.
In particular, it is hard to find a laptop that is recommended for hackintosh with a graphics card that is up to par...
Hey guys just want to let you know a workaround that i discovered! If your speakers are working but you're having crackly audio through the headphone jack, you can buy a USB to headphone jack adapter and the audio works clearly and perfectly. Its not as ideal as having it work natively, but its...
I've tried Layout 13, 3, and 56, injected, patched DSDT, etc. Doesn't seem to make a difference. Found some exterraneous kexts from previous attempts to get the audio working being injected on Clover/Kexts/10.2/, removed the unnecessary ones one by one audio went out and then came back as normal...
Well it didn't work for the latest AppleALC. Also there is literally nothing in the release notes about which version of Lilu is compatible with either of these plugins, just that it is required. However, i replaced the intelgraphicsfixup.kext with the latest version which seems to have fixed...
Well i've got layout-id 13 which is the advised layout for ALC256 as well as what was advised in the specific guide for my laptop.
When you say "matched set" does that mean i should be using IntelGraphicsFixup version 1.2.0 if i am also using Lilu version 1.2.0? Is there some compatibility...
Scratch that, replaced with AppleALC and Lilu, both version 1.2.0. The audio IS working through the internal speakers, but not through the headphone jack. However, upon rebuilding the kextcache, i get this:
IntelGraphicsFixup.kext - no compatible dependency found for as.vit9696.Lilu.
Right that much was obvious already. What i don't understand is why there would be a problem using the latest versions of each. Arent they supposed to work in tandem together? Why would the latest version of AppleALC reference dependencies that are not supported by the latest version of Lilu...
On rebuilding the kext cache i get:
AppleALC.kext - no compatible dependency found for as.vit9696.Lilu.
Prelink failed for as.vit9696.AppleALC; omitting from prelinked kernel.
But Lilu itself is already installed in S/L/E and is not in fact missing. What is the problem here?
I've had the same issues happen when i set kext-dev-mode=1. Cursory research suggests that unsigned kexts can cause Sierra to go wonky. May also be the source of my audio / wifi problems, but it does boot at least. After that if you get issues saying that Mac OS X is not compatible with this...
I followed this guide and managed to get everything working but the Nvidia DSTD patch, except I have bought and installed the BCM9435Z and still do not have audio or wifi. The audio layout 3 patch is not working, I have also tried voodoohda and cloverhda to no success--coreaudio simply is not...
Yeah duh-doy... -_- brain fart on that one. I was running low on sleep last night. Anyway you're right, initial compile gave me a bunch of warnings but no errors. Got through every patch besides the NVIDIA patch, left nv_disable on in the meantime. Everything seems to be working perfectly...
