My mistake with regards to the USB port limit patch and HDMI audio SSDT. I should have mentioned that I removed both of them whilst testing a DSDT file and then put them back before you asked me to upload my Clover folder.
The USB Inject & HighCurrent flags seem to have fixed my problem. My...
Here's both my Clover folder and the DSDT I made, if you want to have a butchers.
I'm thinking the two USB power problems, your charging, and my device failures, are related due to the changes Apple made to it's USB drivers since El Capitan.
The problem I'm having with USB, that I think a patched DSDT would solve, is that all of my ports are under-powered. I have an app on my phone that shows it's only receiving 360mA from both my USB 2 & 3 ports (front and back), whereas it receives the full 460mA from a mains powered USB 2.0 hub...
I'm really sorry for bumping such an old thread, but I don't that the posting rights to PM someone. VoiletDragon, is there any chance I could get a copy of your patched DSDT for the Z77-DS3H? I don't know if it's a problem with how I've patched mine, but I can't get Clover to load it. A known...
Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I don't have the required post count to be able to PM mr-andrek directly.
Does anybody know where I can find the zip file of the 60 colour profiles that was posted at the beginning of this thread? The original dropbox link is dead.
Cheers
Hey dmeadows013. I currently have Mavericks installed on an almost identical system using Chimera. Funnily enough, I think It was your original guide that I followed when I first set it up. Quick question, how much of an improvement in boot time would you say you get using Clover and UEFI booting?
Came here to say the same. It appears to wake up every two hours, although at no set time. Strikes me that a daemon is waking the computer for some reason.
Right, just done some benchmarks using Cinebench and both 3DMark Vantage & 3DMark 11, and there's nothing in it. Each time, either with the NIC in or without, the scores were almost identical. I don't know if the Z77-DS3H is allowing the PCIe x16 to work at full bandwidth regardless of the NIC...
pumpkinwhite, quick question. If I placed one of these cards in a x4 PCIe slot and had a gfx card in a x16 slot, could I disable the NIC in the Windows device manager to allow the gfx card to operate at the full x16 or would it be dragged down to x4 simply by being plugged in? The loss of gfx...

Hey djsmootht, do your USB 3.0 ports work with USB 2.0 devices or only with 3.0 devices? I have the same motherboard but can only use USB 3.0 devices in the USB 3.0 ports. The only way to get USB 2.0 devices working is to disable...
