Hi admin.
Need a little help. I followed the guide and managed to install MacOS Mojave today with one issue. The system recognises my graphics card (GT 710) but I don't have any acceleration (see the dock). What could be the issue?
I have attached the relevant problem reporting files.
Many thanks.
Ioreg isn't included in the debug?
Okay, let me add it.
Also about the image, the colour banding in the blurred background isn't visible to you?
I don't know how else to explain. The gradient is visible. The lines separating colours are visible.
There has to be a fix since its very smooth if I...
I have attempted all the outputs in fixEDID, none of which have solved the colour banding. Some of them caused serious garble and distortion of colours, so I didn't want to attempt anything I don't know.
I swear, the T540p isn't a good hackintosh machine.
I have attached my problem reporting...
What's interesting is that if I boot with an invalid ig-platform-id such as 0x12345678, the colour banding disappears, but I'm left with 7mb Vram.
Is there a custom EDID for Intel HD 4600?
Thanks and sorry for the trouble.
Most of these things are a bit complex to understand.
Thank you for responding and taking your time to assist, sir.
Look at the background behind the apps..
The gradient isn't smooth. There are visual lines.
I'm just wondering if there's something I can do to improve that. Or if that is how it normally looks on hacks.
Also, the debug.zip.
Have I...
I attached them in post #12.
Kindly confirm.
EDIT: I'm not sure I have full QE/CI working.
The resolution is a bit grainy. Lines are visible..Shadows aren't smooth.
I've attached a photo of the launchpad.
Is it supposed to look like that?
Alright.
Can you kindly check the files I have and tell me where I am going wrong?
I don't want to have to reinstall macOS. It's a struggle to get it to boot on the T540P. It takes multiple tries.
Thanks.
Thank you for your assistance thus far.
I was able to boot into macOS Mojave successfully, but I have found little success with post-install patching.
In this guide,guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.152573 it has been mentioned that patching DSDTs should be specific for laptops, but I have had a...
That's a normal one?
I didn't know.
I waited a few minutes.
When I boot without verbose, after a while the screen goes black. The apple logo disappears and I cant see anything.
Is that normal as well?
