Same board here - My USB AUDIO adapter with mic-in and line-out works flawlessly. "Speedlink VIGO USB sound card" is what solved the issues for this mainboard. Get something like this if you are in the US: http://www.amazon.com/External-Adapter- ... sound+card

Choose "System reserved" instead of "Windows" in the bootloader. I use 2 different HDD. SSD for Lion and HDD for W7.

Same issue here with the iNTEL DH67BL mobo/AMD 6870 graphics and i7-2600. 10.6.3 install ok I open Multibeast and run the 10.6.8 combo update which stops at about 90% when the grey SHUTDOWN-screen as described above in this thread appears....you need to shutdown your computer...... Can't boot...

It does NOT show up on my P55M-UD-2 (F8) install :). Wouldn't have it installed it anyway as I knew of the last Mac Pro Audio update killing the Audio output.....

Fixed now: I booted with W7 DVD...clicked "install now"....chose "repair options"...."dos prompt": now to set the SL-partition active...i used "diskpart": diskpart ENTER select disk 0 ENTER select partition 3 ENTER (partition 3 is the SL-partition) active ENTER exit ENTER rebooting from HDD...

Got the same problem on my SL/W7 dual boot system. With boot-CD everything works fine....without boot-CD no way...."loading operating system...".
