Some progress today.
Using the iMac 19,2 SMBIOS (which also uses the i3-8100) in combination with the framebuffer for the H370M-D3H the DVI port is now fully working with acceleration.
The HDMI port is active and kinda works - but the screen flashes and has a red interference. Suggestions...
I tried iMac 18.3 SMBIOS and still no change.
I'll try with that SMBIOS and with the different framebuffers again to test.
Something I have found that may be relevant is when I select Multibeast > customise > graphics configuration > intel HD 630 (coffee lake) - Multibeast fails. Unfortunately...
I went with macmini smbios because I thought it closest to my hardware.
I have attempted the framebuffer patching from the framebuffer patching guide with the results in my first post.
I will try again following your suggestions.
Thanks.
Hi, I've been trying to fix this problem for some time of the screen turning off without any success yet. I would like to use the DVI video output. I understand that people with very similar setups have gotten the video working.
The system is a Gigabyte B360M-D3H motherboard with Intel i3-8100...
I did a fresh install and executed the 'HelloWorld' test and it seems that my board does not support native NVRAM.
I then ran UEFI + Emulated NVRAM install in MultiBeast.
I tested again and the 'HelloWorld' test still fails as it seems the TestVar still does not stick.
Have I missed something...
Thanks, I saw that thread and was wondering about "SSDT-PMC.aml". I saw no official response to this suggestion so was unsure whether this was the way to go or not?
Thanks
Hi,
I'm installing Catalina on the System (Gigabyte B360M-D3H) in my profile. How do I determine whether the board supports native NVRAM or requires emulated NVRAM?
Thanks.
After updating the bios yesterday, today I reset the bios settings to optimised defaults and redid the cofiguration which solved the boot problem and the install went smoothly.
I was able to configure everything except CFG-Lock and Secure Boot Mode which I was unable to find in the Bios Settings.
Today I tested several different Motherboard BIOS. It was F12 and I tried all releases up to the latest F14c. None solved the problem.
I checked the Firmware version for the 970 EVO ssd and it is the latest 2B2QEXE7.
The ACPI errors here look to be the culprit. I have installed SSDT-EC.aml...
Hi, I installed SSDT-EC.aml -> volume/EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched on the USB Installer drive but it still stalls.
I notice the line: "AppleNVMe Assert failed ..." Could this be the issue?
Are there any other suggestions? Thanks.
