I'm only using it as a file server (SMB). Its AMD processor isn't particularly powerful, but it has decent electrical performance, especially when it comes to PSU and the physical disk mount. If you're simply using the command line, you don't even need a dedicated graphics card.
Hi, I've updated it once more. Although the AMD APU incorporates an IGPU, it does not support MacOS's graphical acceleration, hence the IGPU does not function correctly. This is the reason I didn't write it before. In accordance with your specifications, I included it. Thanks for reminding me.
Edhawk 's hp microserver gen8 guide has always been one of my favorites. However, there was an unusual issue with the HP microserver Gen10: it couldn't start without a display. When I unplug the display, the machine does not boot (since when the machine begins successfully, it immediately joins...
Hello, this is what I see, and it does not appear to display built-in. However it has not harmed anything thus far (I do not use icloud). Do I need to do anything else?
Thank you for clarifying, I now understand what you mean. I checked again and discovered that 'info.plist' is a hidden file, you may need to enable reveal hidden files in Finder (however I'm not sure why the author did this).
Hello and thank you for your response. In fact, this Kext just contains a 'info.plist' file that written the device ID:
<key>IOPCIMatch</key>
<string>0x104b8086 0x10f68086 0x10d38086</string>
I think the specification above (0x10d38086) permits the system to use its own driver in L/S/E. Is...
Hello, I read this guide here (thanks to Edhawk) but was terrified by its complexity https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-replace-non-working-intel-i225-with-82574l-pcie-nic-monterey-opencore.319056/
I tried appleintelE1000e.kext, but it did not work. Finally I find...
Hello Edhawk, much appreciated for your valuable advice. I'll try to get the components you recommended, and I'll keep you updated as soon as possible. Best
Yes, I am now utilizing the Displayport interface. Despite the absence of graphic acceleration, at the very least the basic UI operation in mac OS is possible (there will be some strange icon lacks, such as the 'eject disk button' cannot be displayed correctly. I would not even contemplate...
Hi Edhawk, I am grateful for your warmth and competence. Your explanation confirms that the GPU performance is sluggish, hence a dedicated graphics card appears to be required. Do you have a recommendation for a graphics card for this implementation? How about the same K600 model as yours? To be...
Thank you for providing the link. I was aware that the Intel 82574L required additional tweaks, but I did not anticipate it to be that complex. However, even if it is a little stressful, there are always results to follow the tutorial.
At the same time, I'm investigating why remote desktop...
Yes, I completely agree with you. If the most likely attempt fails, we have little choice but to quit up. In truth, I purchased another network card (Intel Gigabit CT, with chipset Intel 82574L), but waiting for it to arrive takes a long time...
I'm wondering whether you utilize the Ethernet to...
Hello, and thank you very much for your response! I was inspired by your Gen8 article (although Gen8 and Gen10 have different hardware), appreciated for that : )))
Actually, I attempted to use BCM5722D v 2.3.7 (https://github.com/chris1111/BCM5722D) on my Mac by adding Device ID (I hope to use...
