That worked for me!
I updated my HP Elite x2 G1 m7 6Y75 to Monterey 12.2.1 (really slow on first/second boot, after that it works fine)
I updated to OpenCore 0.7.8 version and also updated kext versions (previous versions on Backup folder)
AppleALC 1.6.3 -> 1.7.0
Lilu 1.5.5 ->...
I tried to upgrade to Monterey, with no luck
For Big Sur, I remember I did the installation with 11.0.1 version, you can try with that one or 11.1. After installation you can perform normal upgrade.
I have latest Big Sur version on my G1.
I have the similar WiFi card it must work without any additional kexts
Can you check if /Library/Extensions is "virtually empty" and use only kexts on the OC EFI folder
I just have 3 files on /Library/Extensions
HighPointOP.kext
HighPointRR.kext
SoftRAID.kext

This sounds nice!! I recently updated to Big Sur, it is working stable on my G1.
I tried to install your patch, but is not working, do you have any updates from you work to make it work in any other OS version?
Can you explain me the process, maybe you can guide us to make it work on Big Sur...
