That happened to me as well instantturtle, but with my magic mouse. The mouse still worked with the Apple Broadcom card, but it acted like a standard mouse without gestures.

i'm glad you're up and running again. i ended up buying another bluetooth module which works. maybe it was a hardware issue after all
