Did you success with Alpine Ridge & z490? I'm looking for a buying advice here, considering some gigabyte z490 mb(pro or master) with tb header and the extension card. Just to keep using my Apple Thunderbolt Display(win+mac). Like you I'm not sure about z490 and Alpine Ridge compatibility.
