Go figure, the wireless card magically began working. I was in the process of copying important files over to my External HDD when I noticed the wireless bars were full. I clicked to discover it was connected to my wireless router (previously said "no wireless card detected" (paraphrase)). I...
If you haven't already tried, usually it's a good idea to remove and reseat the adapter in its slot. Sometimes micro-corrosion defeats the contacts.
I actually moved it to the other PCI Express x1 slot. Under system information>PCI it only shows my graphics card. This led me to think it was...
Hey guys, I built the exact adapter from the original post. It has been working flawlessly for months until today where my computer isn't recognizing that a wireless card is even installed. Do you have any troubleshooting suggestions to determine if it is software or hardware? And if...
This is awesome! Looks great and performs spectacularly!
This actually cost me about $25 and took 3 weeks to receive the parts (the mini pci to pci express x1 came from china).
The newer adapters only come with 2 antennae, which solves the complaints of having a 3rd one in the way.
Thanks...
rBoot in drive, plus boot with -x -v
This works for me every time. I have done some extensive testing to verify this. Also, after installing 10.7, just install easy beast before attempting to install the 10.7.2 update. If you can't reboot, try the above method. When you get back in...
After installing 10.7, rerun easybeast. Then install 7.2 combo update.
Maybe, the recent release of 10.7.2 straight from the app store could be a solution also. I haven't tried this yet though.
I've had 10.7.2 running well for 2 weeks now. Pm me for muktibeast setting for hardware on your...
It is possible to get 10.7.2 running perfectly. It just has different requirements. The first issue arises with the system definition used. I'm working on a full tutorial for installation from scratch in less that 15 minutes.
I have the same board.
After each upgrade, the sound goes out.
To fix this I run:

And then restart.
After I installed 10.7.2 I had to do this twice. For some strange reason it didn't "stick"
I hope this helps
I had to use rBoot in association with booting -x -v
If was only then that I could get back in. I'm currently testing to see what I did wrong to cause the kp. I did eventually get this working. PM me if you need some instruction quickly, otherwise I will be posting them in the next couple days.
Quickly, here's what I did do. I will do more tests tomorrow to verify what actually fixed my problem.
After trying to install 10.7.2 on both 10.7.1 and 10.7 it resulted in a continuous KP. I was getting stuck at [pci configuration.... blah blah blah on the next boot.
a straight -x boot did...
Awesome, I'll have to give this a shot tomorrow.
After uber failure, I have partitioned my drive as follows:
MACHINTOSH (730GB)
HOME (200GB)
HACKINTOSH TEST (70GB)
The MACHINTOSH partition is my main installation which I will do no tampering with until a foolproof plan can be initiated...
