Looks like I spoke too soon - it's not working right, and doesn't appear to load itself on reboot. Doing a fresh install seems to get it to load again but I don't think it's intercepting everything.
Back to the drawing board.
Well after a little googling I found Hands Off! which does the exact same job but doesn't appear to load itself into the kernel (or at least it does so without needing a restart) and works perfectly so far.
Has anyone got this working? When I install it, after rebooting it shows a yellow warning triangle and says "could not contact daemon". I'm assuming the kext wasn't loaded. I've tried searching on here but it's either people saying it doesn't work with older versions on Mavericks, or people...
