Installed OLCP 1.4.1, and that's exactly what I was missing, a RTFM-moment for me. Also for some reasons it wasn't able to connect to my Wifi network (like the wifi icon simple keeps wave-fanning) until I deleted the networks and re-add. Thanks!

I had to remove AppleALCU.kext <-- the one with the extra U in my setup, but then I use 3.5mm jack for output so this "fix" might not apply to you.

question: my hack (iMac18,3) is vanilla OpenCorePkg (I did upgrade to 0.9.5) + a few hand-picked aml/kexts (lilu, applealc, usb-mapping, nothing exotic), and currently still on Ventura. never used OCLP before. so do I just download OCLP, run it, "build and install opencore", reboot, run OCLP...

1. TP-LINK WDN4800 N900 Needs extra .kext, personally wont bother. 2. Fenvi T919 Wifi / BT 4.0 PCIe Works out of the box w/o needing kext install, the BT is can be finicky. 3. Fenvi FV-HB1200 Wifi / BT 4.0 PCIe Slower wifi than T919 but I heard the BT is not as finicky.

updated OC to 0.8.5 and all the kexts...very uneventful update.

OC 0.7.4, didn't even bother kext updates (kexts from late oct 2021 timeframe), updated all is well.

Apple M1 has a lot more than standard ARM, and that's just the CPU. There's a lot more in a computer than a CPU. So the answer is 100% chance NO.

There's currently no solution for this and no one figured out a workaround.
