I don't think that means anything for those with Pascal cards. It's probably just updates to Apple's current lineup of GPU's. Might be some new stuff for the Intel & AMD cards though, so that might be a plus. Either way, the beta is Dev at the moment, so probably can't really do much with it...

It's a possibility, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. Apple has been putting AMD GPU's in their previous Retina iMac's.

Let's say Nvidia does release Pascal drivers. Would they be compatible with Yosemite, or would we need Sierra to run them?

Any chance that NVidia will add these cards to their next release of the drivers for 10.11.6? The 1070 seems like a very good alternative to 980 and Titan series cards.

Have you checked your system's temperature? If the speed degrades over time, then maybe it's happening because the system is getting hotter than it's supposed to be? I'm thinking of building a system with the same motherboard. How is sleep/wake working with it?

It turns out that there might also be a newer version of 10.11.2 available, as several users from MacRumors, and ****** were able to install build 15C30 through internet recovery (clean install).

Have a look at used Dell Optiplex (700 series?) systems on EBay. Core 2 Duo E8400 systems can be purchased for around that price. You can also do a search for them on these forums to see which versions are compatible.
