Hi,

i managed to install via unibeast 10.9.2
Then i installed Chimera und Edited SMBios.plist (MacBook Pro 9.2) and com.chameleon.Boot.plist with the following settings:
- C2, C3, C4State Yes
- C & P State
- GraphicsMode
- HDAEnabler
- KernelCache
- IGPEnabler = No
- GraphicsEnabler = No
- SMBIOS
- PciRoot 1

Additional i installed the following kexts:
- LPCSensors
- GPU Sensors
- AppleIntelE1000
- ACPISensors
- AppleACPIPlatform
- CPUSensor
- IOBTFalmily
- IOACHIBlockrangeInjector
- FakeSMC
- IOUSMassStorageClass
- AppleHDA
- Disabler
- IOUSBFamiliy
- ACPIBatteryManager
- Broadcom

No stuck in boot. Wenn i boot with -x i get to the Desktop.

Is the system definition wrong?
My specs:
Intel Core i5 3320 vPro
Hd4000
4GB Ram
SSD

Thanks!

//EDIT:
When i use Multibeast i can only set the system definition to Mac Pro 8,1. Then im able to boot successfully, but i cant use the Touchpad und Keyboard...

EIDT2:
booted -v. The last 2 lines and the nothing happens.
SuperIODevice: Fatal found unsupported chip
IOBluetootheACHIController -- missing bluetooth controller transport

Don't install a bunch of stuff you don't understand...

For starting with Multibeast after a fresh install implement power management: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...nagement-sandy-bridge-ivy-bridge-laptops.html

Depending on your hardware, you will need bootflags initially to enable your laptop screen. They depend on your hardware details...

Please provide complete details in your profile.

System: manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx). For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Sorry for my confusing post.
Here is my spec:

System: Lenovo Thinkpad T430 - PB3HX7L
CPU: i5-3230M
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Multibeast Configuration was only:

Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC
Drivers > Misc > NullCPUPowerManagement
Drivers > Misc > PS/2 Keyboard/Mice and Trackpads
Bootloaders > Chimera
Customize > Boot Options > Basic Boot Options
Customize > Boot Options > Generate CPU States
Customize > Boot Options > IGPEnabler=No
Customize > Boot Options > Use KernelCache
Customize > System Definitions > MacBook Pro > MacBook Pro 8,1
Customize > Themes > tonymacx86 Black

After i edited the SMBios.plist with the wizzard to MBP 9.2

Now im working on my HD4000. Read some guide where i only need to edited my boot.plist to:

<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GenerateCStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GeneratePStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1366x768x32</string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>SMBIOS</key>
<string>/Extra/smbios.plist</string>

<string>Yes</string>
<key>InjectIntel-ig</key>
<string>09006601</string>
<key>IntelCapriFB</key>
<string>9</string>

Unfortunately my display is flickering...

See my previous post for how to start with Multibeast. You have some conflicting options in there and definitely ones that don't make sense for your hardware config.

Now im working on my HD4000. Read some guide where i only need to edited my boot.plist to:
<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GenerateCStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>

<string>Yes</string>
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1366x768x32</string>

<string>Yes</string>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>SMBIOS</key>
<string>/Extra/smbios.plist</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>UseKernelCache</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>InjectIntel-ig</key>
<string>09006601</string>
<key>IntelCapriFB</key>
<string>9</string>

Interesting mix of flags...

There is no need to use SMBIOS flag. Default location is /Extra/smbios.plist.

InjedtIntel-ig is only valid for Chameleon. Same with IntelCapriFB. Will not work for Chimera. GraphicsEnabler is best at No.

For 1366x768 and Chimera, use IGPlatformID=01660003 IGPEnabler=Yes GraphicsEnabler=No.

Unfortunately my display is flickering...

Start over. Follow the guide for power management. Then tweak flags as above for HD4000.

Then you can move on to other tasks...

Thanks.

HD4000 works like a charm.
Made a fresh install ^^

System definition MBP9.2

Here is my new bootplist so far:

<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>IGPlatformID</key>
<string>01660003</string>
<key>IGPEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1366x768x32</string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>No</string>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>UseKernelCache</key>
<string>Yes</string>

What are the conflicting parts in the very light multibeast config?

Can you recommend some multibeast parts or other kexts?

Now i will work thru the guide for powermanagement.

Thanks again for your help.

Thanks.

Great...

What are the conflicting parts in the very light multibeast config?

Conflicting was:
- IGPEnabler=No with integrated graphics (HD4000)
- NullCPUPowerManagement, but GeneratePStates=Yes (GeneratePStates=Yes is related to CPU PM, NullCPU disables CPU PM)

Can you recommend some multibeast parts or other kexts?

There is very little of use for laptops in Multibeast (see power management post for what is).

Most of the kexts you'll install will come from somewhere else. And many times will need kext installation and DSDT patches that go together. But more hardware details will be necessary.

As an example, FYI, to implement correct brightness controls...

HD3000/HD4000 Brightness Fix:
DSDT Patches from here: https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch

Apply:
"Rename GFX0 to IGPU"
"Brightness Fix (HD3000/HD4000)"
- rename patch must be done first and to all DSDT/SSDT that contain references to GFX0 that you're including in your final SSDT set
- Brightness patch must be done to the DSDT or SSDT that contains the definition for Device GFX0 (search for 'Device (GFX0)'
- Place DSDT and SSDT (if necessary) into a place where the bootloader will load them. For Clover, EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched (DSDT.aml, SSDT-x.aml where 'x' is a number). For Chameleon, /Extra/ssdt.aml, /Exra/ssdt-1.aml, /Extra/ssdt-2.aml, etc.

Install: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-ACPI-Backlight

Thanks for sharing the links. Im not a hero in making dsdt. My temporarily workaround for brightness issue, is putting the laptop to sleep and wakeup. Needs 2 seconds of my time and then the display is on full brightness.

The fix above will work. And it will get you started patching DSDT which is pretty much a necessity with laptops.

I found here some kext files in the attachment of the guide. I would like to load them. Can i load some kext files for 10.8.5?

Thanks.

No idea. No ability to read German. I suggest you not look to "some random kexts" and instead learn what is really required. Solve each problem step-by-step...

Looking for a "silver bullet" will get you shot.

Hi,

whats working for now:

  • Intel HD 4000 : Full resolution: 1366x768, QE/CI
  • Sensors of CPU/GPU/SSD
  • Speedstep of CPU
  • Wired network / Ethernet (not tested)
  • EDIMAX MiniUSB WifiStick
  • Webcam
  • Speaker, Audio Jack
  • Touchpad, Keyboard
  • USB 3.0
  • Battery
  • Sleep
Whats not working:

  • Build In Microphone - i just used the VoodooHDA kext - is there a better one?
  • Bluetooth - is there a kext?

  • Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 Wireless adapter (will never work)
  • Trackpoint - is not worth the try, i don't use
  • VGA - i don't need nor use

Not testet:

  • Display Port
  • Ethernet

If someone has an idea for bluetooth or Microphone, im really interested in!

Thanks!

Audio: Best result with patched AppleHDA. Google 'patch AppleHDA guide'. Search for suitable AppleHDA or patch it yourself. Apply appropriate DSDT patches.

BT: research here, http://www.tonymacx86.com/network/104850-guide-airport-pcie-half-mini-v2.html. May need to build your own injector. Of course, if you eventually replace the WiFi, BT will be different too.

If your laptop has a Synaptics trackpad, you might try my driver: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Voodoo-PS2-Controller

It has limited support for trackpoint... Does not work with all though.
