Hi I'm trying to install 10.9 on my Y510p using Unibeast. It has a i7-4700MQ, NVIDIA GT750M.

I've created my Unibeast installer, but it reboots after loading the kexts at the 86 64 darwin part.

I've tried many different boot arguments to no avail, and was hoping to get some ideas.

Did you get OS X working on your Y510p??

It's funny that you replied, as I just had a bit of free time and worked on it today.

In order to make the installer boot, I had to replace the mach_kernel with the one here:

http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...-locked-msrs-hp-envy-15-j063cl-i7-4700mq.html

And then delete all of the graphics kext's (IntelHD, NVDA*, etc.) from S/L/E.

After that I was able to install and boot the install with my Unibeast. I did have to replace the Mach_kernel of my install, but didn't have to delete the graphics kext's.

That's how far I've gotten. I've run Multibeast and got the keyboard and trackpad working, but the Graphics aren't running right, as everything is all choppy. Working on that, Audio, and Wireless.

Thanks

I think it is best to communicate right here instead of PM since others may benefit that way.

So from what I can tell, the Centrino Wireless-N 2230 is a no go for OS X, so will probably have to replace that.

Working on figuring out what Realtek audio to use.

I have no Idea how to get the Graphics working properly. If i pass the GraphicsEnabler=Yes it boot's and recognizes that it's a NVIDIA 750M, but it show 0mb and everything is choppy. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I'm assuming your nvidia is Optimus ("switched" not "dedicated"). If so, you will only be able to use integrated graphics in OSX.

And yes, no support for Intel Wifi...

For audio, you should get a Linux audio codec dump before proceeding.

AFAIK this model doesn't do that, how would I check from within Windows or OS X if that is the case?

I think its optimous. as it has switching options available
