Ok, so, updated to 10.9.2 and my audio does not work. I use the analog green port, not using the hdmi audio, when i go into system preferences there is no hardware available. Ive tried to reinstall from multibeast 6.2.1 and 6.1.0 and nothing. Removed HDAenabler1 from S/L/E and nothing. Reapplied Multibeast, nothing, even went as far as trying to use Multibeast 5.3, nothing.

I only updated to 10.9.2 because of the nagging critical update required message that kept popping up every day. 10.9.1 was working perfectly and it had even fixed a few things i had issues with before on 10.8.x, i was even noticing improved performance and speed from my hack after 10.9.1, anybody got any suggestions?

Edit: Have tried doing the update through both the Combo and the Installer app on the USB drive still no audio.

I am a blundering idiot. :banghead:

I was mistakenly trying to install ALC892 and not 889, and that was the problem all along. However, to top the stupidity off, when i went to restore my drive after trying a complete clean install i did it backwards, and restored my clean install onto the backup and lost ALL of my files. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

The machine is working again 100% after i finally did the alc889, but i am really hitting my self over the head for that blunder.

I really need to pay more attention next time.

Also, for some reason, maybe its just me, but 10.9.2 feels ever so slightly slower than 10.9.1. I did see a significant speed increase from 10.8.x to 10.9.1 when i updated, and now it just kinda feels slightly more loaded and less snappy.

Ok, so, after fixing the audio problem where the hardware wasnt there (obviously i had the wrong driver), now the audio doesnt work after a wake from sleep. Going into the system preferences reveals the hardware to be there and recognized, but no sound. A restart fixes, but as soon as the machine goes to sleep and comes back, audio doesnt make a peep.

I have just ran Multibeast 6.0.1 as i found some post indicating to do that as a suggestion, audio seems to be working now.

Will report back if i get anything else.

Well got everything running again under 10.9.2, BUT! Back in 10.8.2-3-4-5 i was having this audio issue where if no audio was coming through for a long time and i hit the volume key, or played a video, i was getting a POP sound when the audio first starts which was kind of anoying. Under 10.9.1 the pop was gone, that was multibeast 6.0.1 or 6.1.0 and now with 10.9.2 the pop is back.

Anybody know what this is about?
