Motherboard
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD5 TH
CPU
i7-4770K
Graphics
GTX 760
Mobile Phone
  1. iOS
This is my system build

GA-Z87X-UD5 TH
EVGA GTX 760 4GB
8GB RAM
Samsung EVO840
6 X Seagate Barracuda 3TB hard drives to RAID into 1 for 4K video editing.

I assembled the system, and built a Unibeast 3.01 instal USB 3 drive.

The system hangs every time I try and install it. At the suggestion of one of the kind members, I did a boot that would show the progress. It seems to get quite far, then it has a kernel error. At the same member's suggestion, I took a photos of the screen, included here.

If anyone can help me get this running, I would appreciate it. I need it to run for a 4K edit job that will last all summer. I choose this MB because I believe I will require Thunderbolt.

Please help

Thanks

Darren

Type bootcache/playlist into the search box on this page.

You will see that many others have experienced this issue and the different boot flags that worked for them (or not)

How are you connected to your monitor presently ?

Good Luck

It's connected via DVI.

I can use an HDMI if that would be better. They are just ACER monitors

There is a lot to look at. I wish there was something more specific

Try removing the GPU, setting the First Init Display in the BIOS as internal graphics and the Internal Graphics Memory = 64M. Connect via HDMI and boot with -v only.

Post pic of screen if it doesn't work.

Grant is not too awfully bad as a sometimes sipper.

GA-Z87X-UD5 TH - Can't install Mavericks - SUCCESS!!!!!!

I got my system working.

Turned off the on board graphics card, changed some memory parameters
went to one stick of ram

then booted again, but this time, I put in every phrase listed on the instal page.

I had to reboot after formatting the hard drive to install, but it happened.

then did MultiBast according to the guidelines, and got audio and network.

graphics card already installed during install.

the about Mac says it's an early 2008, but my 4770k 3.5 processor reads 3.9, everything else is correct.

formatted my 18TB drive, no problem

currently installing software. Adobe CC, so it takes a long time.

very happy. Geek bench scores just under 14000. When I increase my Ram to 16GB it should be a little higher.

thanks for the assistance I received.

My Boss should be impressed.
