Hi!
I tried to install TRIM support with the latest multibeast on Maverics 10.9 (ticked the box) - no error messages.
However if I start SystemInfo I see my Samsung 840 EVO-Series 1TB SSD properties having TRIM = NO.

Questions:
1) is it a bug in Multibeast?
2) Do I need TRIM support on Samsung 840 EVO-Series 1TB SSD ?

Many thanks!

It could be something with your SSD (maybe try firmware update). I'm using a RAID0 of two SSDs and both are recognized with TRIM enabled and working through Multibeast.

1. SSD is a Crucial M4 128MB
2. SSD is a OCZ Vertex4

This hackintosh is just a spare computer for educational purposes so don't bash on me using different SSDs for a RAID :)

Thanks for your reply - did not even think to bash :)
Just curious - what is SSD based raid for? A single SSD is pretty fast for my use (even run a couple of Vmware from it)

TRIM, if available, is preferable to Garbage Collection.

I believe that OS X natively turns on TRIM only for Apple preferred SSD's, thus the MultiBeast option to install TRIM support.

If that does not enable TRIM try the following: "Chameleon SSD Optimizer"
