I have successfully managed to install Mountain Lion on my build and everything seems to work fine. The only problem is that I use a 22" led tv as my monitor but I cannot get sound out of my TV. I've seen methods of getting sound from hdmi but all of them require dsdt editing which until now I didn't have but luckily someone else on the forum had uploaded one for my motherboard so now I just need to edit it to get hdmi audio from my 6870 but I dont know anything about editing dsdt's so I really need help.

I've uploaded the the dsdt and ioreg file which I found on the forum and i've applied the dsdt and had no problems except the hdmi audio so I think it just needs a bit of editing.

Any help will be appreciated !

PEGP and GFX0 are problems in the new dsdts. Try this (assumes DSDTSE, adjust coomands for DSDT Editor):
1. back up your dsdt.
2. delete all lines/sections with references to PEGP (Search PEGP, delete, Next, delete, repeat Next, etc.)
3. rename GFX0 to IGPU (Search GFX0, Replace IGPU, Replace)
4. rename PEG0 to PEGP
5. paste HDMI edit code into new PEGP (Preserve existing Name and Methods, copy Device (GFX0) and Device (HDAU))
6. continue as specified in the guide

Will it work on Mountain Lion since in the guide it says "This guide applies to Mac OS X 10.7.x only."

I tried to do what you said and I get compile error 225. What can I do to fix this. I have attached a picture if the error window. Can you please help me fix the error.

I cannot do that since there is no patch for my motherboard. Can I not use the one I found on the tonymacx86 forums ?

Yes, you can use the dsdt as extracted; that dsdt is what you system is using now. The motherboard patch is not required. If you use someone else's dsdt, it has to be the same motherboard and the same BIOS version.
