I've scoured the forums for a week now, wasted more than 30 hours on one issue:

For the love of God, I cannot get the damn thing to work. I've tried every possible Toleda's guide. I've patched AppleHDA and Azul framebuffers, I've applied every goddamn patch in MaciASL, everything. Won't work.

But I have everything else working PERFECTLY, display-wise.

1. Boot with DSDT=null
2. Load MaciASL
3. Apply PJALM Gigabyte patch for UD7 TH.
4. Check if it compiles.

And here is the problem. If I follow the guides from Toleda, the "Clean compile" patch just fails with PEGP error. I can clean out the code and remove the PEGP and apply all other patches. (I've tried all of them). And everything will work apart from the HDMI audio! The regular analog audio works fine.

I'm trying to get it out of onboard HDMI ports and out of my Gigabyte 650Ti card. Could you suggest where should I look?

What info or screenshots could I provide to debug the issue?

I've tried every possible Toleda's guide.
Guaranteed to fail, serious waste of time
Exactly one guide applies to your system: motherboard series/processor graphics > Guide.
Never got to the end of Post #1 for any guide you tried to see Problem Reporting.

Not sure I'm following you...

What exactly is a waste of time??? I've tried the SSDT way, the DSDT way, I've followed through on the in-place patching of AppleHDA and Azul FB kexts, followed your troubleshooting sections.

Somehow I am thinking the Pjalm patches for this mobo are interfering...

First and foremost,
Thanks for paying attention to the thread, Toleda. I am trying once again from the beginning while documenting my progress.

Mobo: GA-Z87X-UD7 TH (BIOS Version: F2)
Bootloader: Chimera v2.2.1
GFX Card: Gigabyte GV-N65TOC-2GI (Geforce 650Ti)

Clean install, vanilla 10.9.2 with vanilla kexts.

chimera.boot.plist
bootplist_copy.jpg

IGFX set to primary graphics in BIOS.

Steps taken:

1. Boot with DSDT=null option.
2. Load MaciASL, set compiler options to ACPI 5.0
3. Apply patch for Z87X-UD7-TH from Pjalm's Gigabyte repo, test compile. No errors.
4. Apply patch "8series-Clean Compile" from Toleda repo, test compile.

What guide are you using for HDMI audio? Do not use Clean Compile with PJALM patches. dsdt screenshots are useless. Attach the files requested in Problem Reporting.

I am currently trying to follow:

[Guide]-Haswell-hdmi_audio_(dsdt_or_ssdt)_v1.3.pdf

I've reached step 4.2 and learned from you that I should not use Clean Compile with PJALM's patches. Which raises the question whether I should apply them at all or not when attempting to get HDMI Audio running with this board. So, should I just skip the clean compile patch altogether and proceed with other patches (P0P2, A1)?

The DSDT readout may be usesless but I just wanted to clarify the "clean compile" issue.

I've followed the aforementioned guide through. No errors on DSDT compilation. Startup is fine. I have 3 displays connected in total. Two 27' DVI displays to the Nvidia card and one HDMI Television to the HD4600. I don't have any audio devices after I rebuild kernel caches and reboot with the DSDT.

Attached are IOReg, DSDT and spec list. Thanks a lot for bearing with me, Toleda, but this is outright confusing. Granted I'm new to the iASL and DSDT patching, but I've seen my share of C patching, being a Gentoo Linux guy and all...

Going do write a concise guide on GA-Z87X-UD7 TH once I get everything working.

A couple of questions:
This is the FIRST guide I am following to get audio working and I haven't yet followed any other of your guides. Do I have to follow them in any particular order? ATM, I don't have any audio working. (Haven't applied multibeast patches for AppleHDA).

No errors on DSDT compilation.
Mistake, The P0P2 patch is not required in your dsdt. You have 2 devices with the same address, not good. Start over. PJALM and Desktop-HD5K/AMD/Nvidia-A1 only.

In OS X, HDMI audio works natively; not true in Mavericks/Haswell. Install audio:
MultiBeast 6.2 or newer - Select: Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > With DSDT √ ALC898.

Reply with edited dsdt.
