That did it. Thank you very much.

That is the problem, verify BIOS/Peripherals/Audio Controller/Enabled

toleda, thanks for the reply. I was not sure what you meant at first. I hit del on startup and went into my bios settings. I went into peripherals and changed Audio Controller from Auto to Enabled.

Sadly still no codec in DPCIManager.

Any further advice?

Thanks,

Jake

Very Sorry for any annoyance caused here but i have tried to follow the methods here and I'm just getting throughly confused and not "Hearing" a thing.

I have tried making sure my Config.plist is correct attached,
but where I'm getting confused is where and how i put the RealtekALC.kext
what if anything i should do with the appleHDA.kext
there are so many methods posted its not a simple process to follow, I got everything else to work Ethernet, wireless and Ram is running at the right speed even but the Sound is getting me flummoxed !!
I know The layout ID is <01 00 00 00> which is what i want
The Codec ID is 0x 10EC0889 and it shows up on DPCIManager
I just can't seem to get it to work i have tried running the Audio_CloverALC-100.command and it gives this error:-
S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext is not native
Install native AppleHDA.kext
No system files were changed
To save a Copy to this Terminal session: Terminal/Shell/Export Text As ...

But everything looks as it should as far as i can tell someone please help.

My install is Clover, Previously i installed using Unibeast and multibeast and all worked "reasonably" well including sound but this method of installing I'm just stuck with sound thanks in advance.

i have tried running the Audio_CloverALC-100.command and it gives this error:-
S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext is not native
For native AppleHDA.kext, run Yosemite installer over existing installation. After restart, run audio_cloverALC-100.command. The script will nut run until your system is correctly configured for OS X audio.
