Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro HAckintosh

I am trying to install OS X on Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro (i5 / HD 4400).

I have only 10.7 license purchased, so I created bootable USB from it on another mac, but installation process failed at starting Darwin step (laptop reboot if running native or critical virtualbox error if running installation in VM). Bootable flags did not help. I also try patched mach_kernel (by 10.8.5 scripts) but no luck (not surprising).

So I want to try with 10.9. I know that everyone who bought 10.7 can free update to mavericks but how can I get it? If I login at mac app store with my apple id (with purchased 10.7) on not my own mac and download mavericks app... Will it app be mine or mac owner's? Or it will be binary identically?

Thanks.

Lenovo Yogo Pro 2 is Haswell. Haswell support appears in 10.8.5. No support in Lion.

If yours has high res screen, there is an issue with these displays. To my knowledge no one has made them work with HD4400. So far only on CPUs with HD5000+. You might be able to upgrade the CPU and make an attempt.

You can download 10.9 using your own appleid, simply by logging in to the App Store with your own id.

I just made some more attempts and still no luck.

I have bootable mavericks usb (unibeast method) with patched kernel by python script (MD5 sum is equal). I can start installation process from it but system clock is running too fast (I know that there are some methods to fix it but is it critical now?). Installing process stuck when progress was about 25%. I mean usb IO indicator is not flashing and mouse cursor not responding for several minutes and then I got "Install OS X failed" error. Is it a issue with my usb stick? If so how can I check installation files?

In BIOS I disabled VT, set SATA to ACHI and enabled legacy boot support. I tried install OS X on 20Gb partition of SSD. Are there some clues what I did wrong?

p.s. I'm also tried start installation process in VirtualBox but I always stuck on "starting darwing" step (no matter what bootable flags have been used).

Install Chameleon to the USB for speed issue. When a problem and solution is staring at you, it is best to fix it. You can install using GraphicsEnabler=no -x. But getting QE/CI to work will be the real battle.

I was able to get my 4400 to load with QE/CI using the 5000 kexts. I'm running on 10.9.3 latest build with Clover. I found the solution on this Chinese forum that I can't seem to find again, but I will keep looking.

At what resolution?

HD4400 is directly supported for normal resolutions (eg. up to 1920x1080). Very easy... just inject the right ig-platform-id. It is the "retina" 3200x1600 resolution (or the specific way it is connected, eDP) that the Yoga2 (and other) has that is the issue.

Maybe future OS X past 10.9.2 will make it better.

Well, I would just like to discuss your Clover installation settings not system version like the previous post. Which build of Clover are you using?

10.9.3 has been released!

Can we have some instructions on how to get QE/CI working?

Try all the Azul framebuffer ig-platform-ids, especially the mobile ones.

FYI: ioreg from my friend's MacBookPro11,2 shows AAPL,ig-platform-id=0a2e0008. Probably is a good place to start.
