Updated to 3.0 but still 2.2 showing up at boot.
Do ensure fully compatibility with closed source modules I couldn't change the boot banner.

When you run bdmesg to see the boot log you will see Chimera.

desktop HD 4400 supported ?

Yes and no.

Basic support for the HD4400 means the chip is recognized and the proper amount of RAM is detected. This allow for basic usage. The bad news is there is no QE/CI without patching the kext. So no games, Flash images and desktop can have image jitter. Amongst other things. I have had a chance to test to see what will work versus what doesn't work other then what I previously mentioned.

My machine is stable running on the last build - not sure I am going to upgrade as I don't wan to become unstable.

My advice to everyone is the old adage "If it ain't broke don't fix it". If your system is running great leave it alone. If you want to test, please make a full bootable backup.

Try with new Chimera and this patch:

Code:
sudo cp /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHD5000Graphics.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleIntelHD5000Graphics /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHD5000Graphics.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleIntelHD5000Graphics.bak
sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x86\x80\x16\x0a|\x86\x80\x1e\x04|g' /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHD5000Graphics.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleIntelHD5000Graphics
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions

The fix is for reporting correct clock and bus speed.

Purely cosmetic but was annoying to me.

5GTs L2/3 booted, thank you..
