Yeah here's the guide for a fix for larger ram cards. http://forum.netkas.org/index.php/topic,2774.75.html

Seems like an iffy process that works for some and not others. Guess I'll get the 2gb cards. 2 cards shouldn't have a problem anyway with multiple screens. I'm not too disappointed, just saved $100 bucks

Didnt Going Bald just get done posting/saying "it is any of the 4Gb variants of the 6xx and 7xx gfx cards. A 2x GTX 760 4Gb setup would not work unless someone has come up with a fix"???

If I understand correctly 2 cards would have a problem...

?

A single GPU with 4Gb onboard is a problem. A single GPU with 2Gb onboard is no problem. Adding a second GPU with 2Gb onboard can be done with a little effort with tweaking the settings.
The nice thing about 2 GPU setup is it allows more screens to be connected.

Oh, I see. thank you for clarifying that. Too bad I cant afford two cards (at $409.99 each) thatd be sweet!

At that price it seems youd be better off buying the 6GB card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121724) listed here on tonymacx86 for $999.99. $180 difference youd be getting 6GB RAM instead of 4GB.

A single 760 will handle anything I'll do on OSX, but I'll be taking advantage of SLI for gaming. Just ordered 1 of my monitors. They're sold out on newegg, but amazon has them for the same price. Very highly rated monitors and for 150 I couldn't help myself. Super small bezel and great picture. If you're interested in a multi monitor setup these come highly recommended. It's the Acer H236hl.

The performance difference with the 760 is amazing. They're really making huge leaps with SLI with the 700 series over the 600. Since its basically the replacement to the 660ti I figured it was the best option. 2 of them is going to help with the multiple monitors and give performance that spanks the Titan for $500 bucks.

Pretty sweet. I suppose SLI mode 760 x 2 is the best choice.

I had a discussion with PJALM and for what I am looking for (editing video) he said Cuda Cores were more important - I cant remember the rest though. But Im under the impression that for editing video ASUS 770 would be better for that then 760 x 2 SLI?

Am I correct? Im not looking to do much gaming, mostly (almost exclusively) editing video.

Although if Im wrong and 760 x 2 would give you more Cuda Cores, then thatd be the way to go!

Honestly I'm a noobie with all this so I don't want to give bad advice. Go with what PJALM said. I'm still looking for a clear answer on the whole 4GB card situation. I've run into several posts and guides that conflict. Guides about enabling OpenCL (http://youtube.com/watch?v=GG-uOGjmSt4) and advice saying if you're running anything past 10.8.3 that card with higher ram work fine. I'm just all screwed up right now and trying to sort it out. I don't like to argue or go against advice especially from moderators since they're way more knowledgable than I am. I'm just kind of stuck in a bad situation now. How do I push three 1080 monitors at ultra settings for gaming, but still be able to do regular computing on OSX. If a 4gb 760 will only run at 2gb on OSX I would be totally ok with that. As long as OSX starts up I'd be happy. I don't use Adobe or After Effects so I'm sorry I can't give sound advice.

Probably go with this card - seems easier to use being only one card, wont need tuning etc - hopefully just "plug and play"

dont know if the extra $150 justifies the extra 384 Cuda Cores, because that seems to be the biggest difference I can tell - new to all this though so not 100% on that

Again:

versus
