Crucial M4 SSD firmware update

No HW changes since DSDT creation. But I'm thinking of re-patching my raw DSTD, as it looks like something obviously gone wrong (Safari crashes too often, no changes in boot time, freezes etc).

Make sure you re-extract, not just use some old DSDT extract you have laying around...

Yes, thanks for suggestion, gonna extract new one right under OS X using MaciASL, according to your guide.

UPD. Wow, now I'm getting a massive pack of compiling errors trying to save my patched DSDT from MaciASL. Extracted raw DSDT twice, patched it and got those errors both times. Will try DSDTeditor to get raw DSDT and patch it again in MaciASL.

UPD2. OK, finally I made it. Flashed BIOS F.40, re-patched my freshly extracted raw DSTD once again and... same story. Same boot time (~15-20 sec). Np major improvement here, will see how the rest works.

Show what patches you're using. And post your raw DSDT...

Patches from your repo in MaciASL: ProBook 4x30, Single Link, quiet fan and Atheros 9285 Airport patch.
My raw DSDT has been attached.

That is not a raw DSDT. Looks like it has already been patched, at least partially.

Very strange, 'cause it's just been extracted using MaciASL method with boot flag "DSDT=no" prior that.

You should retry, the DSL you gave me was definitely patched. So, even if you started with an extracted DSDT, you applied patches, then saved...

And it probably doesn't matter, but it is DSDT=No

There is a lot of case sensitivity in OS X/Chimera/Chameleon, etc. Best not to be sloppy...

Crucial M4 SSD firmware update

A question. I have ML and Windows 7 in the hard drive. How should I do it? Should I do it through Windows? or should I do it through ML. Thanks

I used Win7 to update...

Another question. Should I redo the DSDT after upgrading the firmware?
