Alright so i posted about this earlier but i'd really like some help on this. I can't seem to get my GTX 670 to boot in 1080p on the chimera screen (or when booting into Windows 8 or Mac for that matter). The card DOES support the VESA resolution of 1920x1080x32 and i do have my chameleon .plist edited accordingly. Soooo what gives? anyone know how to fix this? I've tried messing with the overscan/underscan settings in windows but no luck. :( Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Check in MultiBeast. I think there is a 1080p fix in it.

Tried that too. I believe the issue lies within my Nvidia card itself... because on my Intel NUC, it is shown in full 1080p on the same display. So there must be some overscan setting in the cards bios thats making it show up that way.

I also have a GTX 670 and am experiencing the same issue on my Samsung Syncmaster display. I tried all the tricks - modifying the chameleon .plist, etc. I know the card supports 1080p VESA resolution, as I get NO underscan when using my HDTV as my primary display. It has something to do with the interaction of the graphics card and monitor, but unfortunately I never found a fix.

I'm pretty OCD and I couldn't stand the ugly borders on the bootscreen, so I made my own little fix that I think looks even better than stock. What I did was modify the "boot" file in "/" using a hex editor to make it so the background of Apple loading screen was black, instead of gray. I also made it so the apple showed as a very light gray (almost white). I also modified the LoginToLion chameleon theme to fade to black on the edges. The result is that you can't even tell that there is underscan. Everything fades to black just where the underscan occurs, and it looks pretty slick in my opinion. If you're interested, I can upload the "boot" file and the modified background for the "LoginToLion" theme.

Why don't you post a video of this if you can?

I have an AMD card (5770) and have the exact same problem. I think it might be an issue with the display, because I have edited my VBIOS and I know for a fact that it now includes 1080p as a VESA option (I checked in the Chimera screen). This is really annoying because it prevents my hack from acting like a real mac. A solution would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried updating your MB bios? Apparently that may be an issue as well. I cannot update mine at the moment because i have a patched one and i dont know how to patch an updated file.
