Has the HackinDROM app been updated for 7.7 yet ?
I don't think so, v2.0.6 is still showing on the website. I downloaded the 0.7.7 release and copied the files needed for boot and Snapshot in ProperTree, I just let HackinDROM 'read' the EFI.

MacPro7,1 or iMacPro1,1, decisions decisions. Yesterday I spent the day rebuilding my EFI from scratch, using the one I was gifted (And working!), as a reference. The aim being to use MacPro7,1 SMBIOS on the A320I-K motherboard, to see if there might be a boost in performance. After finding out this morning that yes, I can get to desktop and everything will work normally before freezing and rebooting, for both MacPro7,1 and iMacPro1,1. I realized that it was probably my plist that needed looking at. So instead I cheated and duplicated the EFI from the EFI Partition and changed the SMBIOS info in the new one. Successful boot for both definitions.
Now, which is better?, it's close, if we went by my initial thoughts which were, 'It feels quicker', that's just not going to cut it with anyone, SHOW ME YOUR BENCH!.

HackinDROM needs to be updated only when config.plist schema for AML Kext and Driver changes significantly.
Usually I make changes to the code to improve the GUI or performance

I did it, after a 'lost in translation' issue on another thread, I decided to search elsewhere for answers to my problem. I started from scratch with my EFI using OpenCore 0.7.7 release, and though OC validation couldn't find any issues, when reaching desktop it would freeze and reboot. The problem was Kernel > Emulate > DummyPowerManagement was set to 'False', it should have been 'True'!, good idea to compare configs and check for differences more than once!. I'm going to stick with the MacPro7,1 definition for this build, I seem to have found some performance. I uploaded my new EFI with SMBIOS removed.

As much as I like the A1 Micro Slim Case, [ Amazon | Newegg ] it's not a G5.

I like the looks of their mATX case (C2) but no front USB ports ? That would be a deal breaker for me. I despise attaching USB hubs to a case that should already have them. If that tiny A1 case can have one front USB 3 port why not at least two in this case ? Probably a cost cutting measure to reach a lower price point.

They even tried to copy the Cheese Grater version II. I don't think the front lets any air in though.

I'm not a fan of USB hubs either, working on reaching 4 accessible USB ports for the G5. One thing I hadn't initially thought about when looking at these cases, is which power supply can be used. SilverStone make the FX500 Flex which is tiny but noisy according to the reviews, something that small like the A1 comes with some sacrifices.

Is this tonymacx86s' 1st AMD G5 case mod?.
