Hello, I am trying your kext because I cannot get I2C to work on my Icelake laptop. Ioreg says the kext is loaded, but the trackpad does not work. Any ideas? Full IOREG is below. The trackpad works fine in opencore, but not in MACOS, leading me to think that it will work in PS2 mode.

After the VoodooPS2Elan probe finishes, it identifies the ELAN touchpad, but then I get:

sadly nonfunctional on a lenovo y520 with a elan trackpad (most of these shipped with synaptics so its uncommon too..)

Hi bandysc,

I've got an asus ux303ub which trackpad id is VEN_FLT&DEV_0102.
with the provided kext (VoodooPS2Controller-2.1.5-RELEASE-ELAN), it acts like a mouse, no 2fingers / scrolls is working.
If I can modify something or provide anything to get it working? Thanks.

On the topic. With version 2.1.6, some gestures work (maximum 3 fingers), but taps does not work. Also does not show the touchpad in preferences. Using the link above, I activated taps via the terminal. But dragging/selecting in this way doesn't work. So probably in my case, the kexts data works at the ApplePS2SmartTouchPad level.kext, there are also no taps until you activate it via the terminal, and the touchpad is not displayed in preferences.
At the moment, this is the best result that I could find on the Internet for the operation of my touchpad.

are you sure your laptop didn't freeze up? have you tried a usb mouse to verify this? (test when your trackpad stops)

yes pc not freeze only trackpad stops working. tracpad doesn't work if i reboot without doing "nvram reset" because voodooinput is not load
